Stuck Ad

I tried placing a test ad today with Authorize.Net integration. I had two problems:
1. The payment failed with an error code.
Quote:
The following errors have occurred.
(14) The referrer, relay response or receipt link URL is invalid.
What's odd is that I just finished configuring vBulletin to process payments, and it is working fine. I have vB3 integration turned on. Is there a seperate location to setup the relay response URL or receipt link URL for Classifieds? I already set up the Authorize net Username and Transaction Key. vBulletin had us add this URL to the Authorize.Net setup:
http://www.example.com/forums/paymen...d=authorizenet (I replaced example.com with the appropriate domain).
Is there a similar one to be added for Photopost Classifieds?
I tried adding this to the Authorize.Net setup:
http://www.xxxxxx.com/auctions/uploadproducts.php
but that did not work.

2. The payment failed and the ad went into some limbo state. It shows up in the list, but if you click on it, the only page you get is indicating:
Quote:
This classified has not yet been paid for.
A. It seems that there is no way to access the ad to complete the payment.
B. It seems that there is no administrative function, or ad owner function, to delete the ad.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can approve the ad in Admin => Approve Ads => Payment Pending Que

As far as authorize.net I did extensive testing on their test server authorizing payments with a dummy account and did not encounter any issues. On our side of things you do two things. You enter the authorize.net username and transaction key. This is what I have in payment template and I can do some more testing but the relay url is simply a url back to the payment script passing the paid value back. It worked on there testing server when I wrote up the api.

Just what the doctor ordered. Thanks.

Shouldn't the user who maybe didn't complete placing the ad (maybe had a problem with the credit card or something) be able to come back and re-submit the ad for payment.

Having the admin approve an ad awaiting payment would not accomplish the task of actually receiving the payment from the user.

Thank you!

I dont even think you can do that in vb. If you click a subscription you process it or dont. There is no link I am aware of to redo a failed or aborted process

Subscribing different than posting?

I suppose if a problem occurs with vb during a payment process, there isn't much to loose as the user can just try again. The PhotoPost user, however, just spent 25 minutes putting together a top notch ad, proceeded to "checkout", the payment process gets jammed, and voila, ad stuck with the admin to decide what to do with it. The user sees it in his ad list, but when he tries to edit it, he is told it is awaiting payment, yet he has no way to pay for it. If I was that user, I'd be irritated at best. It seems that if the system can tell you that it is awaiting payment, that it could just as easily take you to the payment screen so you can try again, yes? no? All wet?
Thanks for giving it some thought!

Any more thoughts on this?

Just curious if my last post made any sense. Would it be possible to jump to the payment screen instead of the error message? This would really streamline the ad placement process in the case of any problems the first time through.
Thank you!

Anything is possible with code if you wish to change it. You are free to discuss code modification within the mod forums if you wish.
