| Emails on Deletion
I went in and realized that after an ad expires it stays in the database.
I stumbled on it when I realized that if you as a regular user us the "next ad" option it will take you through all old expired/sold ads.
I found the option in the admin section to delete them. However when I did a pile of emails went out advising members of the deletion.
Is there any way to disable this feature on expired/sold items. It is confusing to regular members who have ads in place and active.
Also is there any way to have them automatically delete after a time period..say 30 days of being expired?
Thanks

Hello do you have the cron task setup as members are given a chance to renew before expiration. When an ad expires it is placed in an expired que and you must delete them in admin.
A member places an ad and selects the expiration on upload. The cron task expires the old ads so they do not appear and you delete them this is the course of action.

yes. I noticed that it when I delete them it sends out an email advising them of such. I though it would be confusing to receive an email after the fact (and like some time after) that a notice goes out to them. Especially if they have other active ads. However I found the admin option to turn off approval and deletion email notification. I'd prefer to have these options seperate..(if your planning to add stuf to the next version..this would be nice as I have usergroups that require moderation.)
Thanks chuck

Where do you edit the text of the email that is sent out for ad deletions? I'd like to add something to the extent of
"or your ad has expired"
to the list of reasons for the ad being deleted...
????? Anyone?
TIA,

Email strings are contained depending on the email your talking about either in sendnotice.php or your languages/english/emails.php file.
