Payments for Highlight, Italic and Bold not working.

I've done a search on here and tried everything, but I can't get this to work.

I have selected PayPal are the payment option in Edit Settings > Payment options and I've added my PayPal email address.

I have added the cost of each item in each section.

I have checked the boxes in the Usergroup Admin section called "Allow Payments" and I looked for anything else that might relate to this.

I can't get it to work. Please give me a step by step guide to how to do this correctly.

Many thanks

Mike

I would suggest you upgrade to Classifieds 2.5

Then

In Admin => Edit Usergroups you select which groups can pay and which can highlight bold and italic

In Admin => Edit Categories you set a price for highlight bold italic etc. If you do not set a price for them they will not show.

This is strange. I'm running the lastest version btw.

I was testing with a test account and it didn't work. I accidentally tried with my Admin account and it worked correctly! I tried other user groups and it works, but not with this one particular group. I have the settings exactly the same, but it will not work for this particular group.

Ok, the test account I was using has a primary and secondary usergroup. I removed the secondary usergroup and it worked. I changed the primary group to the user group for which the account previously had as a secondary group, now I can't do anything with that group. I get the message:

vB3_Tester, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Okay well the way you explained how you set it up led me to believe you where using an old version cause you do not set payment in payment options anymore in 2.5

Well remember if your using multiple usergroups both need to be set to allow payments.

When a user belongs to multiple usergroups the program will assign the best possible permissions scenerio so if say a user belongs to a group that allows payment and one that does not have to pay then they will not have to pay.

Make sense now ;)

No. It is a new install. Also, I now have the test account set with no secondary user groups and the primary group is the group I'm having trouble with.

O, I've sorted this out. It was to do with the permissions of the usersgroup in the vB Cpanel. I have this group set so that they cant view posts, threads etc (as it is intended to be a secondary group only so it doesn't matter). This seems to have strange effects on the classifieds system. All fixed now though.

Again let me state the steps so you can try and figure out your issue.

1. Make sure you have your usergroups all imported and your not forgetting any by refreshing usergroups in Admin. Set what groups can pay and which can highlight italic etc.

2. In Admin => Edit Categories You set which usergroups have permission to access upload etc and what the price is for placing an ad bold italic highlight.

3. In Admin => Payment Options set your paypal email and set paypal as the processor.

As long as a user who is assigned as payment =yes uploads to a category that has a charge for an ad etc they will be prompted for payment.
