Your default currency symbol is in Global Options and in Payment Options place the default currency type. ie USD etc
The zipcode system system comes with US zipcodes. What exactly are you trying to do so I can assist.

I do not really need the zipcode proximity program to be honest, the website is local to Calgary, AB. Problem is this is in Canada and users are turned off by seeing "zipcode" everywhere

Okay well you can remove in the uploadproduct and search templates the zipcode html.
Everywhere else turning off zipcode should turn off the display

All I really need is to find the word "zipcode" for registration of users and change it to Postal Code.
Also, I have those values set to CAD, but in the upload product there is still US,EURO and pounds. I just don't really know how to remove that.

Well you can always add another setting but by default the software has those 3
It says USE DEFAULT CURRENCY to leave alone
Our zipcode thing should be compatible with postal codes. As long as you find a postalcode lat lon database for sale somewhere you could tweak it for use.
