Classified categories on forum home page?

On the main forums page, I'd like to be able to show the Classifieds categories with some basic ad statistics (like #ads and # views for ex.). I'd also like to get the classifieds to open in the same window, rather than a new window.

Is this possible?

That does not appear to do what I'm looking to do..

I'd like to do something like this:

Take the classifieds home page, with the categories and stats(see pic 1), and the forums home page (see pic 2), and insert the classifieds cats into the forums list (see pic 3).

Is this possible?

Or is there a way to get better integration into the forums? Right now, I have a link to the classifieds section, and it opens in a new window. I think I'd like to have it feel more like another part of the furms, opening in the same window, with a link back to the forums in the navbar.

If you use the new classifieds 2.5 there is a module inc_classifieds.php where you can include the classifieds cats on the forum homepage

Thanks Chuck. I upgraded last night, and will be trying that out today.

EDIT: Just set that up and it's working!

It would be nice if one could put a variable in the LINK field and have vB insert the 'bit' for it in that location..

For example:
I could create a forum section called Sales Department, and in the URL field, enter $classifiedscats to have the categories listed in that section, rather in their own box on the page.
