Limit classifieds posts per month?

How would one go about limiting the classified ads posted per month by a member of a certain usergroup? I have people deleting ads just to repost them so they show up at the top of the list. If I can limit each user to 10 ads per month, I could solve this issue. Any recommendations on how to go about doing this in vB 3.5?

Well currently there is no limit but we can consider adding in a monthly restriction on ads in the new beta.

I think this is a big issue for those with large member counts. When the classifieds is really busy, members feel like they need to keep relisting their ad to get exposure. It takes away from those members who don't and then it becomes a contest. I want to do away with that competition. This is a problem even with sites who still use a Forum for their classifieds.
