| Classifieds on Front Pg using vBadvanced CMPS v1.0.1?
I was here about a month ago looking around and thought that I found an article on using Classifieds on the front page with vBadvanced CMPS ... but for the life of me I can not find it today (and yes, I've searched and searched).
Does this exist or did I dream it?
Thanks!
Donna

You could probally make a PHP block in CMS with this contents
include{'../classifieds/inc_ads.php');
echo "classifiedsfeature";
Here is the script http://www.photopost.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116508
Make sure when making your CMS PHP that this is set to NO as we already do our our html in the file
Use Module Shell Template: NO

Check how your making your boxes they need to be on separate lines and need to be separate php blocks. I can not make sense of what your doing with that error but it looks like your typing two blocks into one and on the same line statement.

I have 2 boxes, adv_portal_classifieds:
include('../classifieds/inc_ads.php');
echo "classifiedsfeature";
and adv_portal_photopost:
include('../gallery/inc_features.php');
include('../gallery/inc_photopost.php');
echo 'photopostfeature'
For instance I have a "Featured Classified Ads" module and the setting for Template Module Options is adv_portal_classifieds. I feel I followed the instructions pretty good, it was the same thing I did on the forum page and that worked, with the exception of the echo thing. I did not do that on the forum, I tryed many santax's nothing has worked yet.

Right but when setting up these boxes did you define them as PHP BLOCKS?
Looks to me here if the code is as you posted they are not php blocks but simply html as all vbadvanced is doing is printing the contents of the box as if its html
Basically what you are doing is this. You make a php block with the two lines above no templates are accessed or made. You also select no for this
Use Module Shell Template: NO
Basically it is as simple as a php block which will parse those two lines and since that file has all the html to display things it is handled.

Okay well I don't use advanced but I have helped user's before and it should work exactly like vb portal's program. When you first select in admin to make a new block there should be a drop down that you pick what type of block html rss php etc. At least thats my best recollection here.

Just curious.. has anyone been able to get this to work? In vbAdvanced, adding PHP blocks isn't quite as straight-forward as in vbPortal. The PHP file has to live in the /modules directory. I played around for a while trying to get it to work, but couldn't. If anyone knows the vbAdvanced instructions, I'd be very interested!
