How do I change default sort to "Most Recent"

Hi all, how do I change the default sort order in my classifieds to "most recent" instead of most popular?

In showcat.php change this to whatever numeric one you want probally want to change to 1

if ( empty($sort) ) $sortparam = 2;

Where can I change the translation of (Most recent, Most views..) and the rest please..
