PhotoPost Classifieds... Random or Most Recent ads on Front Page of Vbulletin?

Is there a way to display recently added or random photopost classifieds products on the main forum display in vbulletin?

If so... How?

thanks so very much!

Hello look at the instructions you need to uncomment the $link and mysql_select_db statements and fill them in correctly

That would be your issue

actually... no. I did this yet it did not work and undid the changes hoping for professional assistance

I re-installed the modifications and my issue is this:

Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /classifieds/inc_ads.php on line 56

Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /classifieds/inc_ads.php on line 108

this is being displayed on the vb forums after your instructions, please advise.

"uncomment the mysql_select_db on line 310 and add your vB3 database in quotes."

also, I do not see a line "310"

I see what you are referencing at line 192 and I unquoted it and entered our db name. still getting the same error.

Do you have the proper table prefix for classifieds entered in your edit integration settings

you need to overlay images

redownload the mod and upload the two image files to your classifieds images directory

what mod? all that was included in your zip was a inc php file.......

which images are you talking about, and how do I get it linking to the right location. right now it is linking the showimage links right off the forum instead of forum\classifieds\ like it should...

so close!

well I searched for overlay files on google and happened to find something that worked. where they originally came from and why they were set to use it I have no idea. all I know is its working...

I only have two problems...

They are linking to forums\showproduct.php? instead of forums\classifieds\showproduct.php? where it should.

Also, what file do I edit to adjust how the featured ad part is displayed, I'd like to perhaps trim it down a bit for a bettter "fit"

Also, is there a way to change the actual text from "Featured Ads" to something else? Thanks so very much!!!!!!!!!

As suggested you would need to redownload the build and upload those files.

You can alter the file itself and changed the wording to match what you want.

Could you try being a bit more specific? I am obviously not as knowledgable as you, which is why I am asking.....

Download and replace WHAT files?

Alter WHAT file?

It is working fine, no red x's.... but the hyperlinks are pointing one directory back.........

You've been a great help, but I'm trying very hard to understand what you are saying here......

It is like you are not reading my posts.

Ill repeat myself.... Please be a bit more specific, I need to know how to edit this so the hyperlinks point correctly
