Sorting by distance

In PP Classifieds, has anyone made a hack to allow the list of ads to be sorted by distance?

This is a request that I get from my users all the time, and it does make sense. The distance/zip code database would be a lot more usefull if you could sort the ad listings by distance.

Since these values are calculated on the fly during display, it would probably require a bit of modding.
