Ken if you have not altered your code it is impossible to have ads older than 2 weeks that is if you visit your admin panel. We have code in our main admin file that deletes ads expired older than 2 weeks.

Chuck,
I haven't altered my code, remember you recently uploaded the latest files to my site and I haven't touched anything since you did so. Please feel free to log into my Classifieds admin and look at the expired queue, it has hundreds of old ads in it dating back many months....

You seem to think I keep logins here with the thousands of customers we have especially those people that seem to send stuff to my personal email. I do not keep email correspondence. If there is email correspondence to the company I may be able to find info out but anyway like I said you can look this is the code we use in adm-misc.php

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
we explicitly look for ads which meet that query requirements. when an ad is sold or expired through the cron we set status to the time it is sold so status is no longer 0 which means active ad and we pull up the enddate in that query that ended two weeks from right now.

So my question would be what about those ads your seeing does not meet that query standards. They should.

Chuck,
Since I had just sent you my login info last week I thought you'd still have it, but I can send it again so you can visit the classifieds admin panel, see all the ads, then look at them in the database through cpanel and phpadmin.
Thanks!

What I am saying is there is no bug in the present code and no I do not keep any site logins ever. The question I asked which was not answered was what about the ads your seeing in admin are not relative to the query to delete them. approved=2 and enddate less than two weeks is valid for what we are checking for.

The 50 million dollar question is why would your ads not be pulled by that query. They would not be expired and over two weeks old.

Maybe a code mod you did long time ago and since dropped maybe but your issue does not have anything to do with the current code. Maybe you where trying to add different durations cant say but the reason you have some older ads is because the end date on them is like 2026095488 which translates to like May of 2034. That is why they are not deleted.

I was thinking as an admin option it might be nice to have a flag to set to allow ads to autodelete after a certain time. Some sites might want that to be a day or two, others a week or two, others a month or two and some maybe never. Any chance of adding that into the next release?

Thanks Chuck!

Thats an idea and I can definately do quite easily as right now it is merely hard coded to two weeks but I can definately add a setting to say have an admin set how many days to set to expire
