Select ALL ads and errors after Page 1

Hi Chuck ... :)

Had a member report an issue that I had never tried before ...

He selected view ALL ads and it displayed the first 12 ads of Page 1...

Then click page 2 at bottom and this error happens ...

Not Found

The requested URL /pp-classifieds/gall--page2.html was not found on this server.
Same error happens for all subsequent pages when selected?

Thanks ...

Regards,
Doug

Interesting what version of the software are you using?

Badger November 19th, 2010 04:55 PM

v4.1 ....

Is there some kind of rebuild function available?

Regards,
Doug

ps: I can't find any file in the pp-classifieds directory (or sub directories) that even remotely resembles this filename, which gets tagged on the end of the link for the code call.

gall--page8.html

well the show all ads function would bring you to a search page there is no navigation except a next or prev page link so I would suspect you have some old templates going on there.

try redownloading the build and reupload your templates folder.

Well, we didn't install it, but hired PhotoPost to do so under contract, so I wouldn't even know where to start ....

Also, we spent a considerable amount of time (as did Photopost) doing paid custom work to integrate this product more tightly vis-a-vis vBulletin 4, so to have to start that process all over again after a re-install is a scary thought, particularly if there's no assurance it will even fix the original problem. ;)

So, where do we look to simply remove the "all ads" display option from the line that shows "last day, last 7 days" etc etc...

Thanks Chuck ... :)

Doug

Doug

if you are using an older version of the software I cant speak on customizations etc since they are not company supported.

I do not know what you modified etc so I cant comment there. But for instance if your running say the older 4.03 code and our current code is 4.1 which might fix some issues with prior code then the proper solution is you to update your code.

More often that not if your reporting a specific issue from an older version that might have already been addressed then it is one of the fixes that would be provided in updated code. The search feature in our latest code is different than what your reporting which is why I know your running an older version. We changed the search in 4.1 to allow complete compatibility with the new SEO features.

Here is a link to the changed files between 4.03 and 4.1

http://www.photopost.com/forum/photo...13-2010-a.html

if you have any files modified on those then you need to address accordingly but those are the changes files you need to upload.

Thanks Chuck ... :)

I just haven't got the energy or time right now to go through all of the work to figure it out, so it would be greatly appreciated if you could tell me which PHP file or template to look at, so I can simply remove the "all ads" display option from the line that shows "last day, last 7 days" etc etc...

Thank you Sir .. :)

Doug
