| Irrelevant Search results
I have version 4.1 installed, I have 314 active ads with only about two ads with the the keyword anywhere in the ad. When I search on a keyword I get over 34 pages of results, how can I get the search to be more accurate.
The results are showing almost every ad I have in the database as a positive hit..

To be more specific, if you do a general search it brings back pages of wrong data. If you do an advanced search and just type the keyword in the search works fine

It appears you have not uploaded all the new files. Please download our code and reupload all the templates and new php files.
We released 4.1 which should fix all search issues but it looks like you only uploaded some files.

I still have the problem....
I downloaded version 4.1 and uploaded it using WINscp with the option to overwrite all files.
Are there specific files that you can tell me that need to be changed and I can delete them on the server instead of overwriting them... Then there will be no question as to if i have all the correct files...

You uploaded all files of version 4.1 to my server, so I believe i should have all the correct files?

FYI I deleted the files in the main template dir and also in the VB3
I literally deleted the files listed above and broke the functionality and then replaced them with the files from the 4.1 directory structure..

The search box should go to search.php not showcat.php
Look right at your cathead template you have a form tag going to the wrong place. If I go to the members area and download the code there is no form tag going to showcat.php
Thats why I have asked more than once if you have replaced the files. Maybe the downloads are getting mixed up on your computer if you have downloaded more than once and your accessing an older one.
Try deleting all copies of classifieds zip on your main computer and download it unzip and then reupload.
To send us ftp you would need to send it through the contact us link in our header.

The file that I have downloaded is pp-classifieds41.zip and extracted it to my computer to directory pp-classifieds41
I then went to the server and deleted the files you listed on the server, I went to the classifieds on my server and the format was different and the search box had been removed.... I then uploaded the files from the 41 dir to the server in the templates dir as well as the vb3 directory. I then went back to the classifieds site and checked and the search box was back. Not sure what more I can do.. I have even restarted mysqld as well as httpd to make sure there wasn't a caching issue...

those templates are most definately different. the form tags etc
you need to upload the new templates to your classifieds directory.

Chuck I think that we are looking at different things.... Here is what I see when i look at the page code on yours and mine... Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
are they not identical? have you cleared your cookies? every file you say is different I show to be the same in a browser.. I have deleted the files from the server then uploaded them....

One of the sets of code is from your site, the other is from mine... how are you seeing that they are different? Help me, Im not trying to be difficult but you are telling me you are seeing different things and all I can see is the same... I have deleted and replaced the files... Where I am really really confused is that you did the upgrade last time but yet your telling me that you see old templates, how is that possible..

Your looking at the wrong template set http://www.hayabusa.org/classifieds/...d/cathead.tmpl
That template is most definately not the same as the one on my site. Your running vb3 and loading the templates/vb3enhanced folder is where your templates are at.
You have not uploaded the new templates from our download onto your site.
