When I create a category - I get a 500 error

Greetings,

I have a classifieds site here (Main Index - Disability Ads Classifieds) - and I'm using your internal user manager - no integration with any forum software or cms. When I create a new sub-cat under any cat - I get an 500 error. I'm not sure what to do with that. I have tried deleted the cats - then re-typing the info out in a new cat. I have disabled seo or spider both - tried no seo at all, but still same thing.

Thank you for any help you could lend....

Sincerely,

Mark

You can send ftp and admin info through the contact us link in the header.

I would suspect a server issue

Chuck - I narrowed the problem down to "edit ad types". When I ad a new ad type - sometimes they work - then sometimes they don't. When I switch around the ad types - then the cats that didn't work now do. There isn't a rhyme or reason to any of them working or not. Some have multiple words and some just one word descriptions and types. Everything else seems to work fine - just the edit ad types..

If you create a new ad type have you actually created the actual templates and language files needed?

No - I sure didn't. Are there docs related to this that would explain this? I did look in the installation guide again - but didn't see them there... That's the issue then - I'm sure...

I think I'm going to redo it - and integrate it with my spare 3.6.x vBulleting license...

But - is there docs on templates - or if not - I'll just open them and should be simple enough to code...

That should help you.
