Question Item counts behaving oddly...

Hi Chuck ...

You just cleaned up yesterday the item count and total sales re-balancing them after the auction "cron" issue, or whatever was wrong. You reset it to:

Items Sold 2
Value of items sold $500.00

Well, today it now says:

Items Sold 0
Value of items sold $500.00

How can you lose 2 items within the context of how the software calculates a sale? It doesn't make sense, does it?

Does this have anything to do with turning on:

Quote:
Run cron task to expire ads in footer of site versus setting up a cron task on server? YES
I assume it should be ON (yes) or there wouldn't be any CRON job to perform any functions in Classifieds on our site, as I can't see one under vBulletin's tasks.

Regards,
Doug

Hi Chuck ...

Since this statistics box never seems to be close to accurate on our site, I thought I'd just turn it OFF from displaying at all, rather then confuse members.

So, I set this option in Admin as follows:

Display product stats on index page? NO

It still displays the STATS box? What am I missing?

Thanks ...

Regards,
Doug

Edit: NM... found a different setting which disabled it... thanks ...

Statistics Bar
Display Statistics Pal? NO

It was off:

Use category cache? NO
On some larger sites, using the category cache can actually reduce performance.

Thanks ..

Doug
