| Blank Comments displays?
Hi Chuck ...
See attached pic ...
The member left a comment, which was the first one we've ever had anyone leave, so I clicked on it from the "more" area that shows at the bottom of the index display.
The comment is there, but there's also a bunch of what appears to be blank comments not filled in.
Is this correct?
Thanks ...
Regards,
Doug

Doug no idea there as shown above.
You might want to check your cp_comments table and make sure that there are no ghost entries. I am not seeing anything out of place in that comshow script.

The fact that it seems to show "null" data, but all the rest of the code template things are there, makes me wonder if it's another one of those subtle differences between 4.04 and 4.05 of vBulletin, in other words, the way they store information?

Doug

vbulletin is not going to affect our application or how data is stored two separate scripts and two separate database tables.

Ok... thanks ...
Sorry, I misunderstood that ....
As you suggested, I'm not sure how to check the cp_comments table and make sure that there are no ghost entries as it's way above my expertise level. If I started screwing around with phpMyAdmin, my whole database would probable be ghost entries ...
I'll see if I can find someone to do that for me. I'm still trying to locate our old database admin guy to see if he can do that Canadian ZIP code import for us and get that working like Don has..
Regards,
Doug

I think you already have my whole life on your end, including the Photopost Admin access passwords and also phpMyAdmin passwords ....
I really should go take some courses and try to get my 1960's Fortran experience updated to handle these modern databases, PHP and XML stuff ...
I was good with Hollerith cards in my day though ...

Doug

Thanks Chuck ...
Much appreciated ... they look fine now. I assume it was a corrupt databse?
Did you get a chance to look at resetting the stats, or looking at if my cron job is running?

I enclosed Don's Cdn ZIP code files in the email I sent you to make the time worthwhile , but I haven't heard anything back from your office about where to send PayPal amounts,

Customer service processes orders. I develop and support software and do some custom stuff in the free time.
