Editing a comment error?

As an Admin, I tried to edit a comment posted by another user and I received the error as shown in the attached pic.

If I click OK, it proceeded to the user's comment fine. (see second pic)

At the bottom, it says

"Delete Ad?? Only check this box if you want to completely delete this post:"

.. with a checkbox after the word: "post:"

I just want to delete the comment, not the member's ad, so before I click the checkbox and hit "submit", I thought I'd ask.. :D

The "Delete Ad??" with no other box or info is confusing me ..

Thanks for any feedback ...

Regards,
Doug

I do not beleive this is an error in our script.

Maybe you have some vbulletin plugin installed and this is the issue

Try disabling that tooltip hack in vb and you should be fine. there is no reference that I see in our script to some wstooltip.js

Thank you Chuck ... :)

I don't know what mod we have that uses wstooltip.js, but I'll start looking for it and report the error to the correct author ....

I'll let you know here what it was for future reference in case someone else has a similar error.

Doug

No problem yeah start by turning off your plugins and then verify the error is gone then you can turn things on one by one till you get the issue

I would suspect any plugin you have installed that alters comments smilies etc

It appears that it's delivered as part of the upload package associated with a product called Autolinker, which we use.

I've written the author an email with the conflict details ...

BTW, this is an excellent product and has really helped answer questions for the "old" demographic of our site. There's a free "lite" version on vbulletin.org which one can test to see how it works.

Sorry, didn't mean advertise the product, but I thought you might find it intriguing for possible use in support here.

Doug

Thanks! As with all hacks or mods to the default products support wise it is all the same. Get rid of your hacks and verify the issue is gone then redo until you get the error.
