Custom fields lose their values ... Here's a problem that I'm able to duplicate consistently ... I have three custom fields added for Want to Sell type ads... If I select the options in them (2 from drop down boxes and 1 from check box), then submit the ad, everything is fine. However, let's say I want to change something in the ad, so I then EDIT it. If I don't pay attention, all of the values in the three custom fields I'm using have to be reset again to whatever value I used in the first place, as the field value isn't remembered going into the edit function. Other non-custom fields retain their values ... Thanks .. :) Regards, Doug |
I am not sure what your saying I posted a test ad directly on your site. If I edit that ad the values I selected are most definately read correctly and displayed in dropdowns or checkboxes for custom fields I can also change them. |
Well, that's really weird ... I just tested it again from my iPad and the custom fields maintained their set values when I selected EDIT function on an existing ad. They didn't revert to a default status as if nothing had yet been selected, as they did when I tested it with Firefox 3.6.4 last night. I then logged into Firefox 3.6.4 and sure enough, they seemed fine today. I wonder if this is another one of those anomalies that can be attributed to Firefox (and Safari) on the MacBook Pro under OSX 10.6.4 that we've chatted about before. The last one I still have the "last x" display problem where ALL ads appear whether I select last day, last 7 days etc. I suspect there's something about the way the cache is used on the Mac with browsers that is causing these strange behaviors. Does that make any sense? Thanks .. :) Regards, Doug |
okay so they are fine for me as well sorry I do not own a mac but possibly a mac browser issue. |
