Posting on behalf of another user bug ...

v4.01 with vBulletin 4 ..

If user "A" who has Admin privileges and posts an add on behalf of User "B", the email address that is used in the "Contact Form" within the ad for "User "B", is incorrect.

The ad shows as correctly listed by User "B", however, if you click on "Contact Lister", it fills in the email address of the Administrator User "A" instead of the ad owner User "B" ...

Do you have an example thanks. The contact email is taken from the actual userid on the product.

I realize that ....

The problem is in the logic ...

If you are posting as an Admin on behalf of another user ID (for whatever reason), so that an advert appears under that user ID's name, then wouldn't it follow that if someone reads that advert and wants to contact the lister, the email should be the one associated with the lister and not the Admin's ID who placed the ad on his behalf?

The email address thats filled in is mine because thats what that option says. The users email is HIDDEN.

Everything appears to work fine from what I am seeing.

Yeah you kept looking at your email thinking it was the one the script was sending to and not from.

Users emails always hidden we would not want spam bots to get them.
