Bug when changing Buy It Now

I have tested the code and it works fine I can most definately change a users paypal email. Userid is not empty.

So unless we are talking something else you should be able to change a users paypal email

correct me if I am wrong but... isn't that userid the userid of the person logged in, and not the userid of the person that posted the ad?

As it stands now,
admin userid=1
sellers userid=6

when I login as admin and try to edit a users ad, it actually changes MY paypal address.

here is the actual query that gets created:

admin userid=1
sellers userid=6

Well userid is suppose to be the userid of the person whom placed the ad and if they are the ones editing there ad it would work fine which is why it worked for me

But at least now we know you are using code that works.

Try editing your editproduct.tmpl and find this line

Content visible to verified customers only.

try changing that to this

Content visible to verified customers only.

it works fine if it's the seller that is editing the ad but not if it's the admin that is editing the ad. If the admin edits the ad, the paypal of the admin is what gets updated instead of the paypal of the seller.

Yeah well we know your editproduct file was not current before now it is because your getting a userid whereas before you where not.

Now see when I did up this little mod for you I had not considered an admin editing an ad and changing someones paypal email so the mod should have worked as it was intended for the user to update his paypal email.

Now if you make that change above the admin should be able to edit someone elses ad and change there paypal email although I doubt in reality an admin of a site is going to know users paypal emails since thats a privacy thing.

that was 85 changes ago I re-downloaded the new build as soon as you posted it

I doubt in reality an admin of a site is going to know users paypal emails since thats a privacy thing.

the seller called me on the phone and asked me to do it for him because he was traveling and not able to get on and do it himself.

Anyway... all's well that ends well.

I removed that test site.

Thats my personal test site and currently it is setup to test vb4 and photopost pro
