Sold Ads Disappearing
 

Hi Chuck,
Everything seems to be working fine now, but my sold ads are disappearing.

When a person uses the buy-in-now option, it works great, but the ad is nowhere to be found after the process is complete.

The system is set to show ads for 14 days and that seems to work if it is an auction, but they completly disappear if the buy-it-now option is used instead is staying in the list with 'SOLD' for the 14 days.

I'd like to be able to use the re-list option for these sold items, but if the system is removing them, that makes it difficult.

Any ideas as to why?

Thats a test of a truly regular ad marked sold. You sure its not an ad thats was not marked NOT PAID FOR? that would cause it to go in limbo.

Unlike yours, when a person purchases an ad in our system, once they have walked through the buy-it-now with paypal, the ad disappears from display in the system.

I was able to still find the ad via the email message that was sent to me so I could relist it. But it no longer appears in the listings with the SOLD display.

We received payment and the ad displays sold when I go to it from the email link. But it is not displayed in the list of ads in the category anymore.

Other ads such as closed auctions do remain in the listings, but ones that are used with the buy-it-now seem to no longer display in the listings once a person has purchased the ad with the buy-it-now option.

This used to work fine and as it should before we did the upgrade recently.

If I manually mark it Sold with the options drop down it remains correct in the list and is displayed as SOLD, but if a person purchases the ad with the buy-it-now feature, it disappears from the listings once the transaction is complete, instead of staying in the list the 14 days and showing SOLD.

How do you know it is paid for? Have you recieved payment?

anotherwards has the script ran and send out the notifications?

You can try removing in payment_verification.php on this line the ,approved=2

Try downloading the build and upload payment_verification.php

Yes Chuck, we received the notification from the classifieds and from paypal that the transaction is complete and paid for. After that the ad is completely gone from the listings in the classifieds as far as I can see. They no longer appear under my ads or in the listings marked as sold.

The only way I am able to go back to that ad and see it as sold is via the link in the email message that is sent from the classifieds. From there I am able to relist the ad.

But I would like to be able to see the ad marked sold in the listings. It would be way easier to relist and much less confusing, especially from our users standpoint.

That is my question, why is the ad no longer displayed in the listings and marked as Sold once the transaction has been completed?

Did you try what I suggested?
