Well I went into the admin tools for the Classifieds, in that tool there is a link to view subscriptions as well as to add/edit subscriptons. I tried those links and saw no subscription for him. ???

Thats your issue your not dealing with paid subscriptions. We are dealing with a category subscription or notifications and he already has the link to unsubscribe from notifications in that very email. He would have had to subscribe to notifications in that category himself.

Chuck,
I can't seem to find the post where previously you told me how to move the Bid Box for bid entries higher up in the display on auctions. I thought it was this topic but it isn't, can you help me with that again?
Thanks in advance!

Well not too sure of the thread your referring to but the variable that controls the printing of the bid box on showproduct template is $bidq and you can move that as you wish I suppose.

well it depends on the terminology your using.

The software is designed for auctions or regular ads.

The software is designed for a user to set a price they can sell there ad at instead of waiting for the auction to end normally.

That is the extent to how it is coded.

since ebay is the standard for online auctions, I assumed that the terminology was taken from there instead of being rebuilt from scratch... so, let's say it this way, we dont actually have a reserve price working like the one on ebay?

well, should implement an "ebay reserve price" style variable, without it, the "auction" part of classified is quite not usable if the seller dont want to risk loosing money..
any way to disable the auction method and leave only the buy it now method? thanks!!

You can enable or disable auctions in edit categories for each category do not check allow bidding.

Chuck,
Hey put me down as someone wanting a true reserve/buy-it-now capability in the classifieds ala ebay in the next version of the classifieds. It really shouldn't be difficult to implement, just another variable and some comparisons to other variables and some math involved.

Thanks in advance!
