Cannot use string offset as an array

Im using Classifieds 312 together with VB 382.
If I click on a category link (es: http://www.aaaaaaaaaa.aa/classifieds/showcat.php?cat=2) I get this error:

Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array in /var/www/aaaaaaaaaa.aa/www/classifieds/showcat.php on line 636

I have no problem to place an ad or to view an item, only categories and other link using showcat.php file

Line 636 of my showcat.php file is this and I am not seeing any errors here do you have a real link to your site?

Try adding where noted in your showcat.php script the line in bold.
