If it doesn't work. Just pretend it did!

Here is the final message going from 3.1 to 3.11. Does this look SUCCESSFUL to you? Oh and another thing how about putting the finishing touches on things like telling people to delete phrases.php rather than phrase.php. It's been telling people that for at least a couple of versions now.

-------------------------------------
Preparing to update database...
Error performing MySQL command: INSERT INTO cp_languages VALUES (1, 'english', 'en', 'UTF-8', 'ltr');
Error: Column count doesn't match value count at row 1

I would suspect your languages table is not correct in some manner maybe an early beta?. Looking at the default code this is what I see.

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
The language insert in phrase.php matches that. My suggestion is you delete your phrases and languages table and then run upgrade.php

Your comment on phrases.php your message above shows it says phrase.php and thats an easy thing I can change the wording to say phrases.php easy.

As far as a few versions not sure what you mean by versions as this code is all new in 3.1 so it has not been around for a few versions.

I never used a beta unless you left it in the final code when I first installed it.

As far as the phases vs phrase issue I did say a couple. The current upgrade and for sure that last upgrade or install I did previous to this. I can imagine a fix doesn't get much easier than that.

I'll try your suggestion for the fix.

All I am saying is I looked previously through your 42 posts and did not see where any of this was meantioned prior. Changing the wording on that last part is real simply for sure to say delete phrases.php. I can not that one I get home from holiday.

The suggestion I did should work fine for you because apparently your languages table has some extra fields which I know the beta did. I cant remember all about when this was added removed etc but it appears to be isolated to you since no one else has reported it.

I didn't report it. I was spending too much time reporting more important issues. Like you said it's an easy fix.

It's nice to know I got beta code from a release version. I would think it may be a bit early to assume that I am the only one with this, or similar issue, seeing as this version didn't come out that long ago.

I have checked the code in our released downloaded code. There is no issue hense my suggestion of dropping those two tables and trying again. It probally has nothing to do with files here as the files look right. The issue as I see it and what I posted was I am assuming here as I have not physically looked at your database but it would appear if your language entry did not enter that your languages table was formatted to an old beta that had two extra fields.
