Message system

In my Admin Forum settings I have Enable PhotoPost Message Board? set to No.

Anyway in the menu line on the top the text "[ no messages ]" shows.
On the profile page (members.php) the option "My Messages" and "Send A Message" shows. Shouldn't they be hidden and disabled when I have turned this function off?

They show both for admins and users.

No to hide the message link you need to turn off the messaging system which is in admin options.

Isn't that what I have done when I have:

Enable PhotoPost Message Board? set to No

Or is there another admin option also?

No not at all thats for the standalone forum which is only used in a standalone. The messenging center is set where I noted.
