| Forgot Password Error
Hi Chuck,
Running 3.1. Two versions: 4/5/9 and 3/23/9 build: On both I get:
-----------------
Script call malformed. Some actions require you to be logged in. Please verify you are logged in and try the link again. If you continue to have problems please notify your Administrator.
-----------------
The 4/5/9 site is a new install - then imported the older site's db information. (categories and such.)
Am I missing something super simple? |

I think I'll open a trouble ticket. I just did a brand new install using the new 4/9/9 2:54 build. Getting the same error.

This just started happening...with no changes on our end: (when clicking forgot password - this is the email mysql error):
An error was encountered during execution of the query: INSERT INTO cp_messages (msgid, userid, datestamp, message, type, product) values(NULL, 35, 1239822209, 'You just requested that your password be reset at xxxx.com. And another result from this error: It appears that if you had several accounts using the same email address and you request your password, it effects all the associated accounts and you can no longer log in with any of the accounts.

Actually if you have multiple users with the same email an email should be send to each user to reset there password.
Now as far as the messaging error. You can turn that off but I am more interested to know if all your files are indeed new as previously posted. essentially I can see your allowing both email and messaging to be used. We send in the send_ppemail function a 5th parameter called $sendid which is a users userid really.
I am just stumped on why yours would be empty which causes your error. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

These errors just began happening on their own - a couple of days after the fix that you posted in this thread.
I understand that I can turn error notices off - the problem is - that the "forgot email" is not being sent to the end user.
My challenge is this: We are trying to establish stable builds of this software and then let them run without fiddling with the code. It seems that when we do upgrades, other problems pop-up and this kills our project timeline.
What do we do? As I posted in another thread, I installed a brand spanking new site with your latest build, and ran into a whole new slew of errors.

As a follow-up, I changed the messaging option from "both" to just email.
The mysql error notice is no longer sent - but - the end user does not receive the system email telling them to click on the link to reset their password.

And as a follow-up again - this is now replicated on our third site - (put up today) using build: 3.1 4/15/09
No recipient is being called:
A message that you sent contained no recipient addresses, and therefore no delivery could be attempted.

You just requested that your password be reset at xxxxxp.com. In order to do so, you must click on the link below or copy it into your web browser: http://www.xxxx.com/member.php?ppact...key=1239832248
Thanks!
