Variables not working in emails from admin panel

Hi Chuck,

As an fyi:

When approving or deleting ads via the admin panel, the emails being sent have raw variables being displayed. Couple of examples:

#1: Ad Approved Email:

^usernm,

We wanted to let you know that your ad, titled "^producttitle", has
been approved and is now visible. Here is the link to the ad:

^Globals['maindir']/showproduct.php?product=^productnum
......
^Globals['maindir']/showcat.php?ppuser=^getuserid&cat=500

#2: Regarding Your Ad Email:

^usernm,

I'm sorry, but the ad you submitted to xxxxx.com, titled
^producttitle has been deleted. Some reasons for ad deletions include:
......

^Globals['maindir']/uploadproduct.php
.....
^Globals['domain']

Your using an old RC3 build

You need to download the regular 3.1 code in the members area not beta or RC and upload all files.

Ahh! Thank you. I'm a creature of habit I guess. I thought that the latest and greatest was always listed at the bottom of the page.

Yep you just downloaded the wrong thing

the beta download area has not been cleared yet but the GOLD is always the latest and greatest. Anything that says beta is just that.

Is it possible Chuck that you installed an old RC3 build as I have exactly this problem?

The email linking to the advert says this: domain/showproduct.php?product=^productnum

No the current download should be fine that email is from the approval emails and there is a detailed thread on here discussing this very issue the build was updated some time ago.

As you can see the cat # is there but not the productnum.

Any ideas?

Try redownloading the build and uploading pp-inc.php

Downloaded the build from the members area, unzipped and uploaded file (uploading pp-inc.php) as suggested.

Tested new advert and same result..

/showproduct.php?product=^productnum

Not from what I see this line is right in pp-inc.php check your to make sure your file overwrote on the server

I repeated the file overwrite exactly as I did last night and bingo... it now works.
