Sorting doesnt work for my site

On the showcat.php page, on the top right it says Sort By
and no matter what I sort by it lists the items in the same order.

If I sort by most recent, then the most recent items should be up top, but theyre not. It all stays in the same order. thanks

please post a link and make sure if you upgraded all the files etc. There appears to be no issues that I see in the code.

It all works fine. Just remember those 5 sticky ads will always appear on top as you stuck them.

Classifieds 4.01

The first time I see it (exact a user reported it):

Sorting in categories works perfect in Firefox.
Sorting works in Opera.... but not correct. Result is by accident.
Sorting works not in IE. Nothing happen.

I IE (8) I got an error info:

missing objekt in line 1294, sign 1, Code: 0
URI: /showcat.php?cat=3

Don't know what this mean and if it's important... There is no line 1294 in showcat.php.

Any idea?

On another Classifieds 4 I tried it out and it works also not on IE.
In an older Classifieds i've found it works.

I beleive our current code which is 4.02 has any issues sorted. You might have issues if your using an older version.

Okay, can you tell me which files I have to replace.

I am asking because I tranlated a lot of the files and if there are only one or two files have to replaced I must not do all work again.

well I would say at minimum showcat.php pp-inc.php and HTACCESS renamed to .htaccess]

Do have Photopost a sample Classifieds with the 4.02 version? Where can I find it?

I saw that you, Chuck, also have only 4.01 on your site.... with the same error.

My site link is Haupt-Index - Elvis-Forum Shop

I've tried it with showcat.php, pp-inc and .htaccess from 4.02 but it takes no effect. Now I have the old files from 4.01 again on the server.

My only questions is: Where is the demo with an actual version on the Photoposts site?
I want only to see if the 4.02 has the same error or not before I upgrade.

And i' ve found only on the Photopost site a demo of 3.11 and 2.61

feel free to make sure all files are uploaded running 4.02 and then place a site link with your exact problem

But I think it's also not a problem if you give me an answer to my question if the the sort function works correct with IE in 4.02.

An where I can find the demo on the photopost site to check it.

well based on the sites I have commented on there should be no issues with the 4.02 code
