| phpBB Integration - Login Problems
I have 8 testers of our classifieds that is integrated with phpBB. Since we installed the classifieds the other week, people are having major login issues. They have to login twice, sometimes 3 times, and this morning I can't login at all.
We had a stable forum without any login issues, and only the testers of the classifieds are having forum/classifieds login issues.
We could use some help on this one.
Thanks.

My initial response is going to be to ensure you have installed the classifieds correctly and in one regard make sure you have set cookies correctly.
We only integrate with phpbb2 not phpbb3 so make sure you running the right versions and on cookies both applications should be set like this which should correct any login issues. Make sure users clear all cookies then try relogging in.
cookie path /
cookie prefix phpbb2mysql
cookie domain .domain.com

It seems your trailing on a thread that does not deal with your issue.
In phpbb3 you must set your cookie name where noted in the admin of photopost and set your cookies like this. If you get logged out when logging into one of the products that tells me you do not have cookies set correctly.
cookie path /
cookie domain .domain.com

I've got the same problem as skidpics. I'm using photopost and phpBB3. I have set the cookies as you said above and checked that it is the same in phpbb3. I have set the cookie prefix to different settings and tried leving it blank. No matter what I do, when I log on to one programme I get logged off the other.

Cookie prefix would be blank as that is not used in phpbb3. You must set both your forum and photopost to settings noted above and the cookie NAME must have been properly input on install. I do know there was a big login bug reported with the forum in IE so make sure your using the latest forum code.
You can post urls and a test login here if you think you have it set correctly.

OK I've now set the cookie prefix to blank. The other settings are correct. I am pretty sure that the cookie name was entered correctly on install but I can't see how to check it. Can I find it in phpmyadmin?
Here is the url of the gallery and the board http://www.geofflawrence.com/photopost http://www.geofflawrence.com/phpBB3
You can login as username: guiri password: doris1
I have been testing this morning in IE7, I usually use Firefox 2. It does the same in both.

Cookie name in forum is phpbb3_3kgj8
In photopost you have it set blank which means you did not install correctly. You can run install again and integrate with phpbb3 and make sure to input the correct cookie name or you can try looking at the cp_settings table setting 165 I beleive in the database the smfcookie variable and set the correct cookie name that is why your login is not working from the apps.

OK thank you, that seems to have solved the problem.
The reason why I didn't do it before is because it says 'Only needed for users of SMF forums'.
Maybe that needs updating?

The classifieds install that I see has this so it clearly says used for phpbb3 smf and wowbb. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
