which makes more sense to me than not showing anything, give another insentive to login.

Back out the change you made to the code in post 4 then cause you complained about it showing earlier. You need to make up your mind which way you want this

That's not true, look at my original post, I describe the default behavior and let you know that mine did not work that way. I didn't know your post 4 code was simply making the link invisible without actually fixing the problem.

We now know that some of the problem was a bug in the postnuke.php file. But only half the problem...

after I changed showproduct.php back to original the link is visible to guests AND when they click it they see the form with no email filled in. This is not the way it works on your demo site, so there is still a problem.

The link is visible indeed, but when clicked on, instead of getting the "you must be registered" page, you get an empty form that you can fill in any email and it works.

In other words, it works for registered, but not for guests.
