Easy per the install instructions your uploads and data directories at every level need to be set to 777 permissions.

Well I may have spoken too soon. I changed the permissions and now do not get any errors. The ad is placed, but I do not get a thumbnail, but only the "no image" pic. If I click on the no image pic, I go into the ad and see the original picture that was uploaded. I checked and GD2 is set in the admin console, which is the same GD2 that the gallery uses and the thumbnail generation does work there.

I have all the URL's use the http://audiokarma.org/ads etc...
I have all the Path's use the /www/audiokarma.org/httpdocs/ads etc...
I have the web virtual path use /ads ( I've tried this with the full http:// with no difference) If I use the /www/audiokarma.org here the thumbnails that are visible disappear.
By the way, this classifieds was setup by photopost on another server. We have moved servers and that is when the problem began.

The missing thumbs only pertain to new ads since the server move. The thumbs that are there now were created on the old server. At first I thought it may have been the GD but it works for the gallery.
Yes, the upper level data and upload folders and their sub folders are set 777. I don't get an error since I set the permissions, but it is not creating the thumbnails.

You can post a regular login account here and let me try and upload. You are sure
Kinda hard to say anything when you cant post anything to show an issue. I dont see any affected anything on your site right now.

In the mean time,
user: Chuck S
pass: photopost
Ads are moderated, so I'll watch the admin console to approve. When we are done, I will delete the user account.
By the way, use the "Auctions for the Benefit of Audiokarma" section, as the other catagories require a payment to post.

Is that directory 777?
Is there a file named this in that directory and if so what are the permissions on that file it should be 644 or 666
If the file exists and has permissions of 600 you probally have that host we see every 1 in a 1000 that doesnt have permissions set on created files correctly but they should be able to fix that so the files are 644

The folder was 777 but the underlying thumbs and large folders were not. also the actual jpgs were not set 644. Looks like the migration from the other server reset all the permissions. I will need to go into every folder and reset them.
Just to be correct: upload, data and underlying folders set 777, all files within set 644?

Correct as I stated your uploads and data directories as well as EVERY DIRECTORY beneath them need to be set to 777 permissions
Files under them should be 644 or 666 thats fine

remove the second slash off the end of your data path and also your data directory and all its subdirectories at every level needs to be set to 777 permissions

| Can't upload pics
I'm having the same problem with a new install - can't upload pics. Getting this error message at the top of the page:
"Warning: unlink(/home/content/y/u/m/yumadoug/html/classifieds/data/8/thumbs/8041.jpg): No such file or directory in /home/content/y/u/m/yumadoug/html/classifieds/image-inc.php on line 376"
and this error message in the body:
"Error creating resized original! Error code: 126 "
Was originally getting the "data//" so I removed the second slash in the admin panel per the instructions in this post thread. The Data folder and all the subfolders are 777. Have tried different pics, no change.
What next?

| Also...
I should add that my host has ImageMagick 5 and 6 with the paths /usr/bin/ and usr/local/bin/. I currently use Coppermine Image Gallery on my site with the ImageMagick 5 path (/usr/bin/) and there are no issues with uploading pics or creating thumbnails.
Incidentally, during the install process for PhotoPost Classifieds I entered the /usr/bin/ path and it said was successfully verified.
