Do you follow what I am saying here though. Based on the information you gave me I wrote a line of code to show an avatar based on that info and your telling me it doesnt show which makes no sense if the information you gave me is correct.
Go ahead and make the lines you added this instead and let me know. Lets take out the fileavatar thing Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

I do understand but I also know from my experience that sometimes everything looks like it should work but it doesn't. Right now my code in vb3.php looks like this and still no avatars. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
Since you don't believe what I am saying, here is the preview of what the sql query you suggested earlier returned. preview.gif |

I never said I did not beleive you.
I said this makes no sense as I have outlined. There is what your query is returning. I wrote a specific condition to match what your returning meaning an avatar should be returned. Your hasav is 0 and avrev is 1 so the resulting avatar should show.
One last thing what do you have in your vb options for avatar url? Example in mine us customavatars.

well thats the same as my site. Only difference is my hasav is 1 but we have built you a condition which would show an avatar for you and it still does not show
You will need to follow the advise in the last lines of post 19

I'm not really comfortable with giving out my password over E-mail. I can provide you any information that would help solve this problem...
Couldn't we test the query over the vBulletin admin panel and see if it returns anything?

You did that and I gave you a specific condition in your code to show an avatar and you say it still does not work. As we have clearly shown avatars show fine that we can see so this is not an issue reproducable to us. http://redtailboa.net/classifieds/sh...ct=1215&cat=15 http://www.monstermotocross.com/mx-r...uct/380/cat/42
Thats just doing a quick search on the net.
If you would like us to try and reproduce and fix something we can not find broken then you must provide us server access.

I just wanted to mention I am having the same problem - signatures show but not avatars: http://www.slshopper.com
I ran the query and my avatar path is null, hascustomavatar is 1 and avatarrevision is 0.
I have the settings turned on in Classifieds to show avatars.

Yes but you said that the fix on my site doesn't work on some other pages and that you are still investigating. Is this fix now final and included in the latest build?

No your fix works on your site but not on all sites is what I said. You needed the original code before we applied a fix

What I want to know is if this fix is final or if you are still planning on making changes so the fix will work on other pages too. At the moment I don't know what you did to fix the problem so if I reinstall the program and the fix is not included in the latest build, I will still have the same problem. So did the fix make it to the latest build?
What do you mean by original code being needed on my page. As far as I know I had the files from the latest build available at that time. |
