Ad expiration emailing many times

Just got the cron Job to work a bit there. I got 43 noticed emailed to me for the same ad though...LOL... any ideas? this was a test ad that was long over due to expire think that has something to do with it?

Also if I upload an ad I usualy get 4 email notifications on it.

I did get a single outbid notice on one of the test ads. So I'm not sure if it is working right now or not.

I followed the direction on the Cron Job, */10 * * * * /usr/bin/wget --spider ETC.. It sent me 100+ emails on a test auction ending. What am I doing wrong here?

Interesting what does the stats table field have it in for last update? It should be a unixtimestamp can you post that here.

You should only get one expire notice.

Where is that at? in the admin CP for the classifieds?

I believe it is sending a notification every 10 minutes until I go and delete the auction.

That would be in your cpanel of the site under the mysql database you view the stats table.

As long as that field is getting properly updated the ads that have already been expired would not be found again for an email to go out

So If I have the sold ads set to show for 3 days after they are expired they will email the whole time?

I dont think anyone said that lets post the code and see if I can have you follow

You can see where we set the regular ads to expired in the initial lines and next we get the lastupdate field from the stats table

You then see where we update the stats table with the time the script is running if the lastupdate was more than a day

We then query the products table for any expired ads within 3 days

This code here is very important and why I cant see why your site does that. The whole block of code is designed only to run once per day so this is why I have asked several times how is that lastupdate field in the stats table

Chuck, I appreciate that, but the reason I paid for the install in the first place is I am PHP retarded. It still doesn't work, my test auction expired and I got 50 emails..

I ran your cron task many times and it does not show multiple emails getting sent or in this case it does not run more than once.
