Bid history for auctions I am using PhotoPost Classifieds on our site for auctions only. I clicked on "Bid History" to see who was bidding, but all it shows is the high bidder. Someone is bumping up his price, but I am unable to see which member it is. The current auction we're running offers a prize to the second highest bidder, so it's important for me to know who else has bid. Is there a way to track who is bumping up the bid other than just displaying the highest bidder each time? |
Only he can bump up his price and if he bids a way high price any other bid is of course refused so if you only show him under bid history it is because no one has outbid him |
So I can't tell who is bidding against him like on eBay or AquaBid, or other auction sites? Even if I look somewhere in the Admin panel or the database? |
You arent bidding against anybody until such time as someone outbids the current user. No bids is done until you enter a price that outbids someone's bid |
I see what you're saying, but I just thought maybe it would tell me who was bumping up the bid. In my bid history I see the same guy's name listed 5 times. On other sites it'll say stuff like, "bumped up by [username]" or something to let you know who is trying to outbid the highest bidder. Like I mentioned before, we usually like to know who the second highest bidder is, but in this case I only have the username of one person, even though others have tried to bid. Thanks. |
Thats because no one else has really bid. No one has yet to complete a higher bid. The user bidding is told they can not bid because it is too low |
