Sold ads are disappearing immediately (want 3 days)
 

I have the "Number of days to show sold/closed ads" setting at 3, but ads that are marked closed are still being removed immediately.

How can I fix this? What other information do you need?

They should be shown on your showcat script if the status field is greater than the cutoff date

In editproduct.php try removing this in bold and then do a retest

It looks like that took care of it! New ads marked as sold are listing now. The ads from before I made the change are still gone, but that's ok. They were only testing ads.

I might be wrong but if I change editproduct.php in the described way, none of the sold ads go in approved state 2. That means it resides in the database until the enddate is reached and, furthermore, sold ads will show up on portals by using inc_ads.php
Is there any other way to keep sold ads visible for a couple of days?

what exactly are you asking?

Sold ads appear on showcat for x amount of days after they expire by setting the setting for that in admin

You also want to make sure you use the expire script sendnotice.php to keep current

Yes, I did all of them. I use sendnotice and customized the admin panel.
But, sold ads are definetly not shown in the showcat view for the 2 day I've choosen. They just disappear at once (when they marked as sold).
If I use your suggestion from this thread, the ads appear in the list but do not get approved state 2 until they expire by date.
Therefore my question: What do I have to do in order to keep the sold ads for a couple of days in the overview lists.

I would simply suggest uploading the language directory and main php files
