Error adding new category to the database. Returned id was 0.

I was doing fine yesterday adding categories. The only thing that changed is I finally got my server provider to set safe_mode to off. I double checked again right before posting this. All I'm trying to do is add a category and the only message I get is:

Error adding new category to the database. Returned id was 0.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

What is your mysql version? Did he move you to some server with mysql 5.0 and strict mode set on?

We did not move servers or upgrade anything. Version is 3.23.58 which is the same as it was when it was working.

Did you upgrade?

I would suggest in global options you set debug setting to display errors and then when you add a category it will show the true error so we have something to work with here

Thanks for the quick response.

I did not upgrade photopost classifieds (clean install with clean vB install) nor mySQL version.

With debug on here is the error message:

We're sorry, but the system experienced an unrecoverable error. Please try again later.

Script:

Query: INSERT INTO cp_categories (id,catname,description,catorder,thumbs,parent,header,footer,
headtags,ugnoview,ugnoupload,ugnoanno, template,extra1,extra2,extra3,extra4,extra5,extra6,sortorder,frames) VALUES(NULL,'20-29'','','3','yes',1,'','','', '', '1,3,4', '1,2,3,4,5,6,7,37', '0',
'Brand', 'Size', 'Engine Size','', '', '', '1', '')

Result: You have an error in your SQL syntax near '3','yes',1,'','','', '', '1,3,4', '1,2,3,4,5,6,7,37', '0', 'Bran' at line 3

Database handle: Resource id #6

You're one smart cookie Chuck!!!

Wonder why it didn't mind the previous catname (Less than 20') but it chokes on 20'-29'? The second ' you suppose?

Thanks for the help!!!!
