Auto email not working

I had some auctions end with bids and no response was sent. also no emails going out for responses to ads.

You sure your email on the server is working?

I did a test of placing a comment on one of your snakes after subscribing to a category and I dont see any errors so check to see if you have notification turned off. Make sure this is set to yes

Admin => Admin Options

Allow users to be notified of new posts via email?

Okay well there are no errors in the program so I suggest you check your server is setup to send php mail and check your server error logs for any errors

If I click contact seller it will email, but the auto notifications aren't. I'm checking in on your above post now.

Well my host tells me that the php email function is working but it isn't working via the classifieds if someone leaves a comment it does not auto email.

If your PHP mail works you should be fine as long as your allowing notifications. Also though is the user who uploads his ad marks he wants notification

It all depends on what specifically you say is not working. For comments it is those two options I marked above and also the user has to mark when uploading their ad they want notification. If they do not do this or do not subscribe to a category there is no one to be notified

Hope that makes sense now. I assume here they are not being notified if notification is turned on because they have not checked yes to be notified. Hit recieve email updates when viewing an ad and have someone leave a comment I bet you get an email then

it was a setting on VB 3.5, I posted it on the other thread I had going here.
