Upgrade error: ...unrecoverable error

Error link:
http://www.psdivers.com/ppclass/

"PhotoPost Classifieds Message
We're sorry, but the system experienced an unrecoverable error. Please try again later.
"

I was in the process of upgrading the site, did vBull to ver 3.6.4, Photopost 5.6.2 and tried Classifieds From ver 2.41 to 2.6.

Choosing the upgrade.php and selecting the version, had some warnings on an existing data folders to 777... eventually made the changes and removed the error.

Ran upgrade again, got the usually duplicate error message but the same "We're sorry..."message.

Verified with the
config-inc.php
config-intc.php
using the info from the old version and then rechecking it again.
Paths, but some confusion on the paths to photopost and classifieds and I've noted the are interchangeable at times in the verbage.

It was working a while ago, then upgraded vbull last year, classifieds didn't work and read that it would work, at that time, with the vbull upgrade. I did check to verify that class would work with the newest ver of vbull, but now I get ther error...

any ideas...

It's looking like something simple in either permissions or paths, but have check the paths and appears??? to be ok...

thanx..

also seeing the old? folder "pp-classifieds241" can I delete that?

I would suggest you recheck all paths in the config files especially if you changed some server folder to a new one.

However your issue that I see has nothing to do with Photopost Classifieds it has to do with some vbulletin hack or addon what is vbplanguage?

Quote:
Warning: getvbplanguage(/home/pnwhosti/public_html/x_psdivers/language/0/common.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/pnwhosti/public_html/x_psdivers/includes/functions.php on line 335

Fatal error: getvbplanguage(): Failed opening required '/home/pnwhosti/public_html/x_psdivers/language/0/common.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/pnwhosti/public_html/x_psdivers/includes/functions.php on line 335

Ok, thanks...

Don't have any vb hacks that I'm aware of (not smart enouigh to do all that), just upgraded with whatever they had and vbp would be just the Random photos showing which come from photopost..

but the language thing, not sure what that is, didn't make any special effort to add or change anything, just uploaded files, copy/pasted the DB settings/paths...
I'll take a look from the error messages you posted...

Just to confirm, when it asks for the path to "photopost" it is referring to "photopost" and not the classified programs... and vice-versa - it's confusing to me...and that could be the problem... but would have thought a better error message....

Also that there are now 3 files
Config-inc 777
config-int 777
config-intc 644
all

thanx much... appreciate the help.

As I mentioned, I did an upgrade, should I just rename the folder and do an New install?
thanx...

by entire site, meaning the link: Classifieds 4sale on the left side menu.

Other than that the site appears to be working find on my end??
I'll check the vbp files, but it's appearing ok as best as I can tell.
Portal, bulletin board and photopost and reviews (sites, boats... not upgraded yet, that is next) appear to be showing ok..

So just the link? right?

using the style "psdiver" which should be the set style, not able to change...

thanx.. I'll take a look at the work computer to see what's appearing there...
appreciate it..

Even if I go by typing in the address it errors out..

I get the error I noted on every link I posted above so the issue appears to be something with that

Ok, I believe I got it squared away. Posting this to help others.

Tried upgrading several times, no change
Removed the folder with Classifieds, uploaded the whole set of classifieds and added the adjusted two files from the earlier upgrade:
config-inc.php
config-intc.php
and then ran the install, connecting to the existing DB.

biggest problem I had, was changing the CHMOD to 777 in various Data areas.
Step by step, it finally came around.

Didn't appear to have anything do to with the vbportal outside of my FTP didn't upload some files "English" as Chuck noted. CuteFTP has done this several times in the past and as much as I like it, need to use another on in uploading upgrades/installs...
still a little form formatting to do, but should be ok.

http://www.psdivers.com/ppclass/

Also, this is weird, the site, as noted above was getting mixed views.
Chuck in msg #4 indicated that it was showing errors.
I checked and was using Maxthon (IE) on my computer and at work, looked fine (except the classifieds of course). Came home checked it with Opera 9.0 looked fine and then cranked up Firefox (too techy for me) and it showed the errors that I assumed Chuck was talking bout. Strange...

Anyway, Hope that helps, now onto Reviews...
thanx...

I take that back, Firefox doesn't show any errors as before, but doesn't show the classifieds... back to the table I gues... geeesh... ;-))
Ok, now it does, had to be logged in... showing fine in firefox now..
