Uhmmm....Deleting an image and then uploading it again deletes my forum!

Ok, on two different sites on a Windows 2003 server, when I delete a picture from an ad, everything inidcates success, but when I add the image back, I get this error:

Quote:
Warning: move_uploaded_file(F:/Inetpub/wwwroot/blah/classifieds/data/2/IMG_1042_231.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied in F:\Inetpub\wwwroot\blah\classifieds\image-inc.php on line 55

Warning: move_uploaded_file(): Unable to move 'f:\serverprograms\php\uploadtemp\php2AD2.tmp' to 'F:/Inetpub/wwwroot/blah/classifieds/data/2/IMG_1042_231.jpg' in F:\Inetpub\wwwroot\blah\classifieds\image-inc.php on line 55
And then the really bad news....My whole forum folder is now gone!!!! Luckily I have backups, but that's no good!

Ideas? This is with latest download (only one I've used so I can't say if it's a new problem or not) and I can reproduce this 100%.

I would suggest you check your directory permissions and make sure they are set according to READ WRITE EXECUTE on your uploads and data directories at every level. I wonder why if your doing a delete you get a call to move_uploaded_file thats only a upload process?

It probably is a permissions thing and I am addressing this, but still....the script should probably not attempt to do this, correct?

I don't get the error on delete. I get the error when trying to upload the file again, and then the whole forum directory is deleted.

upload a file again where on editproduct?

See yes it is a permissions issue and if permissions issues are right it doesnt happen. I know one time a user reported this before and it is always a windows server.

Yeah, I get the permissions thing and I corrected it because my whole forum directory was deleted. Permissions problem or not, it shouldn't try to do this, correct? You say always with a windows server as if there's a problem with the platform. Windows is ok Chuck, really. I have found it to be quite good for several large boards.

I was within the edit thing (not sure if it does in other ways).
