Question Testing Emails(NOT A BUG)

this may not be a bug.. but:

I was testing emails in my staging envrionment: delete, approve or high bidder, catagory changes email responses..

When a user recieves emails or notifications it seems like all email related items re-directing to the photopost classified login page instead of my PHPBB2 portal.. I do not want users to login this way because it causes cookie and session problems.

Please advise what files to change to force users to use my default login page; check cookies and session_id to enforce logging in to the phpbb portal provided under my forum. (sorry I have bad english)

-- Calling these files --
uploadproduct.php
showproduct.php
-- Not sure how many more are missing --

My installation is as follows:

Photopost Classifieds 2.41 Running on PHPBB2 / IntegraMOD 1.40

/ (portal & forum)
/auctions (Photopost Classified auction)

Many thanks in advance.

Hello this is not a bug and there should not be any cookie or session issues I know of if cookies are set right. If I login to classifieds login page then I am logged into a phpbb forum fine.

You can always hack your files and change the login link to phpbb in pp-inc.php but this falls outside product support.

Cool But this falls outside product support.. - PHPBB2..

Yes I did make some changes to that file but there must be something in those email files that force it to use the photopost login screen. Sorry but it does not seem 100% intergrated when I login to the forum with your photopost login page. Its good that your install script recognizes where the user registration area to forces users to use phpbb2 login... but the menus ect. requires some modification which I made..

Please see: http://www.jersey-auctions.com/auction/index.php

## You can always hack your files and change the login link to phpbb in pp-inc.php but this falls outside product support. ##

so if I change these files I wont get support anymore ;(

uploadproduct.php
showproduct.php

Trust me. I spent many days figuring out the phpbb2mysql_sid cookie name: 850f74688b56d010533d58ddd7c9faf3 session_id/cookie crazy problem. users get crazy when they cant login.. and this was the fastest solution for me to give them access. Just go into the forum table and delete the session_id. wolla they can login to the forum the right way and get access to my subscription based portal.

If I login your way... with your cookie cleaner.. some of the cookies dont get delelted unless I go into my forum database and delete that particular users session id. Cookies wont delete with your registration app for some reason. Thus users call me up and yell they cannot login. I wish there was a way to learn to push that out of my database when I click on "Delete these cookies"

This is why I would like to enforce users to use the forum to login..

is there anyway to redirect a url login post for when a user to login to return back to a particular page?

If cookies dont get deleted in phpbb when you delete them from from our side you dont have your cookies configured correctly. It is that simple.

There are two cookies created by phpbb

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
If set right they are set the same between programs

example phpbb and photopost should be set by default to this to allow a www domain and no www

cookie path /

cookie domain .domain.com

cookie prefix phpbb2mysql

Yes if you modify any files of our program it invalidates your ability to get support for good reason. If you hack your files and then come here because your experiencing something not working right it is usually because of a hack that has been applied so most all companies will tell ya that to obtain support first you will need to upload all clean files to your server. So believe me you will not be denied support but will be first asked to upload unaltered files to your server.

Cool Cookie Crazy.

I think I see the problem PHPBB2 2.0.17 has 3 more cookies:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
I have the configuration for the cookie domain set.

Oh well.. back to work.. Thanks anyway

well no your using secure cookies and you dont need to you can uncheck that.

The two cookies that control login are the data and sid.

If I were you I would uncheck the secure cookie thing and use normal cookies.
