Bypass PayPal and ad shows up?

During my testing of PhotoPost classifieds on my dev server I noticed something odd. When I was testing, I made a fake ad and uploaded an image. Then I went to PayPal, but never completed the transaction. When I return to my site, there are no ads listed in the main catagories, but they ARE listed as "Closing Auctions" from the custompal1.tmpl page (I think that's it.) You can click on those ads and then buy them.

So, in essence, users are able to post ads for free.

How can I disable this? Is this a bug? I sure would not want people bypassing the payment system.

I am using 2.4.1 as well.

I have removed the template for now, but here is what I did:

1. Place Ad
2. Complete steps 1-3
3. Click to continue to PayPal
4. Once you are at PayPal, just click back to your classifieds home page
5. If you have custom1pal.tmpl enabled the ad shows up there.

Any thoughts?

no, sorry

I have also not costum1pal enabled. so this might be the reason...

I followed the steps as decribed above. The ad is not appearing BUT in teh category the count number is one higher and the admin gets the messsage that an ad has been placed and might need approval

It think this e-mail should not be generated, if paypal did not confirm yet the process. The reason for this misbehaviour might be the same as for you specific problem.

Same counts for the increase in ad-counting of the used category.

Any ideas to avoid the misleading mail notification and the wrong counting?

Hello I would not say this is a wrong count as I would state the count is correct as there is an ad there whether it needs approval or not.

I would instead suggest that in the query for that custom pal box so it is not shown is add this in bold as that box is just designed to show all auctions that are open.

$query = "SELECT id,cat,title,enddate,price FROM {$Globals['pp_db_prefix']}products WHERE enddate > $today AND isauction=1 AND approved='1' ORDER BY enddate LIMIT 10";
