uploading pictures problem(NOT A BUG)

Hi,
I'm using 2.4 version latest build - works now fine execept one strange thing :
when I try to upload some Ads I get sometimes (not always) those messages :
-Warning: move_uploaded_file(/home/www/gliderstyle.net/classifieds/data/23/1Zander.JPG): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/www/gliderstyle.net/classifieds/image-inc.php on line 53
-Warning: move_uploaded_file(): Unable to move '/share/tmp/php2czFyl' to '/home/www/gliderstyle.net/classifieds/data/23/1Zander.JPG' in /home/www/gliderstyle.net/classifieds/image-inc.php on line 53
-Unable to move file [/share/tmp/php2czFyl] [/home/www/gliderstyle.net/classifieds/data/23/1Zander.JPG].

If I manually create a directory 23 in data everything goes ok. But the directory is not created automatically.
I have CHMOD to 777 for data like it should.

Okay so the error is because your directory does not exist. Let me look at the adm-cats script and see what happens when I create a new category.

I would if I where you do a couple things.

1. redownload classifieds to ensure you got any bug fixes Michael has already posted.

2. Check permissions on the database directories.

I have used the latest download and added a category and it is indeed made and permissions are fine so I can only assume here there was an initial bug he has fixed or your data directories are not set to 777

Hello again,
I still have the same problem. I need to ask may be a silly question but it will help me troubleshooting.
Do I have to create all directories under data (in my case 4 to 24) manually before uploading Ads or are they automatically created by Photopost Classifieds when uploading.
I confirm CHMODs are 777 for data. I took contact with my provider and he said that it was really the case.
I think that in the past I never had to create the directories manually but I am not sure.

If you create a category the directory should be created automatically if your server permits it.

If you create a category in admin and your server is not letting the script create a directory like it should then you may need to ask your host why not.

This is line 3115-3122 of adm-misc.php
