# of ads displayed per category?

This isn't really a bug, but perhaps an oversight. I've checked the edit options for my system and if it is there, I have just overlooked it several times. There are all kinds of option settings for number of comments, number of new items, number of most viewed ads, etc., but where the heck is the option that controls the number of actual ads that display in a category? I get 12 displaying but would like more, but that setting to change is just eluding me.......

Anyone stubbed their toe on it yet?

No. I am talking about the actual ads displayed in a category. i.e. http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/pp_c...cat.php?cat=10. Only 12 ads are displayed and I would like to be able to bump that number a bit.

Look for the following code in showcat.php, and note that if $Globals['thumbcols']; is set to 4, then the per page options are 12, 16, 20, and 24, so set $perpage1x = 10; to get per page options of 30, 40, 50, and 60, with a default of 30 per page.

I tried your suggestion, but I am still getting only 12 classified items per page.

What does this statement do?

So where the heck is that "perpage" value coming from?

We define the number of ads perpage to the number of thumbnail columns

If you just change the line Frost suggested you should be fine.

So say before your perpage was 4 for thumbnails if you make it hardcoded to 10 your perpage will be as she suggested

Try whacking your cpperpage cookie and reload the http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/pp_classifieds/showcat.php?cat=16 page. I'm not looking at the code now, so I'm guessing that perpage=12 is from the cpperpage cookie.

Ah! I had to use the correct cuss words to get it to work.

That and manually changing the default "Per Page" selection while viewing one of the categories.......
