Lost Admin Permissions

Since refreshing the usergroups, I have completely lost my admin rights and all users have lost upload rights. I hope you can help, I need to get this fixed. I am using PhotoPost Classifieds with my phpbb2 forum.
Thanks

Hi..

If you have phpmyadmin you could look within the photopost database within the 'users' table, find your username and alter the 'usergroup id' now with phpbb2 i'm not sure what the admin id would be, in vbulletin it's the number '6' refer to the phpbb admin controls i think, then simply replace your usergroup id in the database to that of an admin, login to photopost and re-setup your permissions for the rest of the usergroups, there might be an easier way but i'm not too familier with phpbb, lemme know how you get on

Thanks Toney - You at least got me thinking in terms of database tables & that's where the problem was.

I have 5-6 usergroups in my phpbb2 forum and if I "(Refresh usergroups from your forum software?)", I lose all data in the pp_usergroups table. I looked to the usergroups_phpbb2.sql, which came in the classifieds installation files, for information to rebuild the table.

I also had to manually add the other usergroups to the pp_usergroups table. Before I listed them, anyone who was a member of a group not listed would not have upload permissions and such.

I have it working now, but if I refresh the usergroups, I'll lose that table data again.

Do you think there's something wrong with my setup, or is this a bug?

Hi, Nothing wrong with your setup, im also sure this isn't a bug, if you do refresh your usergroups then the data is taken from your forum and insert over the existing photopost usergroup data, it's just the way this works, glad it's working for you anyways

I don't know why this is broken when you upgrade and you're using phpbb2 but the easiest fix is to go to your message board admin, create a usergroup titled "admin" (or whatever you want), add your admin user to this group. Now using phpmyadmin goto the "photopost" database and in the "pp_usergroups" table change the permission for the "admin" groupname. For those newbies like me that just means set the field values to "1".
