What does this form box do? POSSIBLE BUG

On index.php and showcat.php there is an input box directly above "Recent Ads: last day last 7 days last 14 days all ads"

When I enter anything in that box it doesn't seem to do anything at all other than add whatever I entered right after the bread crumb trail. (eg. Home > Bikes for Sale > Off-Road (89130) )

I'm assuming this box is somehow supposed to sort the list or search by what I entered but it sure doesn't work for me.

Any help?

the search box is independant from the selection you find under it, so your query is not relevant... you can't ask to filter the "last 7 days" with what you enter in the field (if this is what you mean!)

Are you sure it's working?

If I go to http://www.viperalley.com/classifieds/index.php and type "apple" (no quotes) in that search box, it returns me 5 pages of results. None of which have anything remotley close to the word apple in them.

In showcat.php, add this line in bold:

if ( !isset($ppuser) || !is_numeric($ppuser) ) $ppuser = "";
if ( !isset($what) || empty($what) ) $what = "allfields";

Was this fix added into the latest build? Is showcat.php the only file this needs to be done on to fix the problem?
