Can't post comments. error msg "You did not fill in all the required fields."

Attempting to post a comment on an ad generates this error:

"You did not fill in all the required fields."

Except - other than the comment itself, there are no required fields to post a comment!

Since I did the 2.1 upgrade a week or so ago, I am going to guess that something in that upgrade caused the problem, since, as you can see from the screenshot I posted, comments were working previously.

All relevant user groups have assigned the proper privileges for commenting, and they worked previously - and i haven't changed any group setting or category settings since the 2.1 upgrade.

Ideas?
