One of the registered users to my site's classifieds is unable to login under his registered username but can upload pictures as Unregistered even though unregistered users are not allowed too. Settings are set so only registered users can upload ads.
I became aware of his initial problem when he sent this email on 12-14-04:
I had registered as " xxxxxx " when I lived in Texas and had another
e-mail address. I just moved this month to Nevada and can not log onto the
site... any help? I know I was logging on as "xxxxxx" but can't remember what I used as a password. The other problem was I no longer have
the old e-mail address so can't do the reset password thing either. I
would really like to keep my username of "xxxxxx".
So I replied:
I have registered you as xxxxxx with your email address;
xxxxxx@xxxxxx.com and your password is xxxxxx, all lower case letters. I was able to login/logout of your account with that information. Both the forum and classifieds worked okay. Please give it another try to see if it works on your end as well.
His reply:
It works great-thanks.
A couple of weeks later (01-03-05) he uploaded an ad as 'Unregistered' to which I sent:
You placed the ad shown below in the classifieds early this morning. The
ad is fine but what is strange is that it was posted under an 'Unregistered'
username, which shouldn't be possible. Because of this I deleted the ad.
Believe it or not anybody could have deleted it (or edited it) which is why
unregistered users are not able to place ads.
His reply:
Thanks. I logged in last night three times and each time it said
unregistered but it took the ad so I figured something was up.
Yesterday he managed to do it again - but he is the only one who can. Any idea of what's causing this or how to fix it?
