Says has not yet been paid for, but it has been paid for

A member posted an ad this morning. I received the notification from Paypal.

The payment shows up in my Paypal account.
I received the Ad additions email from classifieds
I did NOT receive the "Verify payment for Classified Ad" email I normally get.

In the Admin CP, the ad shows up only under "Ads awaiting payment." - not in the normal approval queue.

Since the ad has been paid for and I want to approve it, how to I get it approved? When another member clicks on the ad on the index, they get "This classified has not yet been paid for." I see no way in the Admin CP to approve it despite it THINKING it still requires payment (which it does not). Any suggestions on what the problem may be?

You can go into the Admin Approve area and click on the dropadown to select "Ads Pending" and then approve the ad. It's possible the user did not complete the link back to the system and therefore the ad didn't get activated.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. The ad does not appear in the "Ads pending" section - it only appears in the "Payment pending" section, and there is no option to approve it from there. The only options there are "leave" and "delete."

I have attached a screenshot to show you.

if the user fails to click "continue", which they sometimes will (altho I have added a line in the language file to say that they must do that, since i know this is an issue with other apps, like oscommerce) - how can I manually approve the ad anyway? I don't want to have to refund the paypal and make the user re-submit. That is a waste of time and an inconvenience for me and for them.

I'll have to check into that and possibly ad a manual approve option to the page.

In the meantime, you might have to modify the record manually with phpmyadmin to set the field approved=0 (which will now be "3" because its still pending).

I was afraid of that. Thanks. Guess I'll launch phpmyadmin and manually fix it. A manual approval option is an absolute MUST. It is silly to have no way other than in the database manually to approve an ad that has been paid for except for the continue link on paypal not being been clicked.
