User's Computer Locks Up w/Incorrect User Input

Sometimes you can never underestimate the stupidity of users

I got a report from a user that they tried to put a URL into the Upload photo text box and when they submitted the ad their computer locked up. Now we all know that you ain't suppose to do that. Figuring that I had PPC 2.0 in test mode for less then one day and someone did it, others will do it too.

Maybe there should be some type of error checking done in the Upload fields.

Nothing that PhotoPost does can lock up someone's computer. It's a webpage, not a virus.

I never said that PP was a virus but web pages do lockup computers all the time. A google search brings up a few 100K pages about it. I was reporting a problem (this is the error reporting forum isn't it?) and offering a suggestion to help you avoid a potental customer problem at a later point in time.

Okay, thanks; will keep an ear out for any recurrence. I've never known any PP product to cause a lockup, though.

Yeah. I tried to duplicate but couldn't. Didn't ask what OS he is using but who knows... could have been Win98. Seems if a user can mess things up one of my members can
