Database error

I have had PP Classifieds integrated with vBulletin running for about a week. A new install for both. Outside of a few login issues it has been working okay. Today the Classifieds section is down. If you go to http://www.amx-perience.com/classifieds/ you'll get this error:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
---------------
In emails I have received the following message:

Database error in vBulletin :

Link-ID == false, connect failed
mysql error:

mysql error number: 0
----------------

The vBulletin section works fine. http://www.amx-perience.com/AmericanMotorsForum/

It's only the Classifieds side that's down. Any ideas? My webhost is powweb. I can login to the SQL area through them fine. I have changed nothing in the last few days. I have no access to the Classifieds admin area of PP.

Thank you.

Have you checked your server logs?

Without more information a 500 error is useless to guess about

Have you checked the file permissions on your scripts and templates?

Have you tried uploading fresh files minus the config file in case some files got corrupted?

I have checked / reset the file permissions for all - no difference.
Which files can I upload without losing data?
Checked my server logs for what? Nothing odd jumps out but I don't know what I'm specifically looking for.

everything except the config file and install file

on a server 500 error you need to check server logs as a 500 error is very generic

Database error

I have checked and rechecked the file permissions on all files in all folders. No difference.

I downloaded copies of all files and folders for backup. Then uploaded fresh files minus the config file and install files and then set, checked, and rechecked permissions. Still no difference and no access. I uploaded the install.php to call it to see if it will even show up. It comes up okay - I closed it and deleted it. I then tried opening adm-index.php in my browser and I get nothing.

I requested a site statistics report which is where I was told I would see error logs. It only states 500 Internal server Error and gives no specifics.

The vB side remains working.

Any ideas?

Try changing your file permissions on your php scripts to 755

I know on some powweb servers people have had to set permission to 755 on all scripts and templates.

without a server log to show what the error is there is not much to suggest.

Database error

I changed the file permissions for php scripts to 755, no difference so I changed them back.

I found the error log. I hope this helps. Here's what it shows for
classifieds errors. There's others but they're just repeats of these. Where
do I go, or how do I fix this? I still can't figure how / why it worked
great for a week then poof, it's toast! I had made no changes.
Thank you for any help you can provide.

Same as the email you sent me earlier have you checked all permissions against what the install docs state things need to be.

have you set your $pp_path variable in the config?
